Eluding a police officer? What will I be charged with?

This occurred in New Jersey, the police officer was in pursuit of a speeding vehicle that did not stop when sounding the siren and the lights. He was soon caught, age 19. He turned off his lights and lost the police vehicle but was soon caught and arrested. I believe this is a felony charge, is there any way that this can be brought down to a misdemeanor. Suspect got ticketed for a 95 mph in a 45mph zone, switching lights on/off to evade the cop, reckless, and avoiding traffic signals and a few more tickets. Is there a way to drop this charge?
