When will gay predjudice go away like black prejudice?

Racism still exists today and as long as current generations teach newer ones to perpetuate the hate, it will always be there. I have lived in many places across the country and for the most part people are tolerant, but there are always the handful that continue to hate and remain ignorant of others.
