Might anybody hate me because my husband is American?

My mom is from Vietnam and my dad is from Washington D.C and they don't have any problems. My mom has been employed at the hospital here for 26 years now. And my dad also works at the hospital with no problem with co-workings or anything. In fact they have a new nurse from Russia and she's accepted perfectly fine as well as her American husband.
